Coach K will be accepting new ASB applications for the spring semester! ASB is a student leadership club that empowers students to create fun activities and programs for all students, including dances, fundraising, carnivals, and our Student Store. ASB members are expected to maintain a 3.0 GPA with all Es and Gs, and be available to work during lunch, before school, or after school as needed. If you are interested in joining ASB, ask a teacher to recommend you to Coach Kandpick up an application from Coach K.
Millions of students across the nation are participating in the Great Kindness Challenge this week. During this one week, students are challenged to complete as many kind acts as possible to prove that KINDNESS is strength and has the power to change the world for GOOD!
iMiddle students will also be taking on this challenge for the second year in a row! Students are to complete as many acts on the checklist as possible. Once you have completed an item, check it off and have the student or staff member that watched you do the act sign their name beside it. We will turn these back in on Friday for special recognition and rewards to those who completed the most!
Today is your last day to complete your work on your Genius Hour Project. We will be presenting our projects (at whatever stage you completed them) tomorrow during Advisory. Be prepared to share: 1. The focus of your project 2. What you found in your research 3. How you applied the knowledge you found in your research (or how you would apply your research if you did not complete this step) 4. Your results and visuals
If you have completed all of these steps, you can use your remaining time to prepare for your presentation (what you will say and how you will say it).

Teachers: please collect students' Kindness Challenge Checklists and send them with a runner to the Counseling Center.
Teachers: please collect PAC Cards now. Do not distribute new PAC cards; this will be done 1st period on Monday. Keep the collected cards and separate them (blank vs. infractions). Email Coach K the number of cards that have no infractions. These students will be dismissed at the beginning of Advisory next week on February 5th for the PAC Celebration.

THE GREAT KINDNESS CHALLENGE
